Keep Pickens Beautiful

Working Together to Keep Pickens County Beautiful!

Mission Statement: Keep Pickens Beautiful is a Pickens County, nonprofit, volunteer organization affiliated with Keep America Beautiful and the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation.  Our work is focused to sustain litter reduction and voluntary recycling along with projects that enhance the beauty of our environment and improve solid waste management.

KPB sponsors and supports many projects and programs in our community to enhance the beauty of our county, improve waste management, and promote environmental stewardship.

Join KPB today to support our projects and programs. It’s because of the generosity of our community that we can continue to expand our services!

Pick-Up Pickens March Miler

Our Pick-Up Pickens team will be doing litter pickups all month long, with the goal to collect 2,024 gallons of trash from our roadsides for 2024’s Great American Cleanup!

Projects and Programs

This is our oldest and most successful program! Become an Adopt-A-Road volunteer to help keep our roadsides clean.

KPB recognizes residents and businesses in our community who promote environmental responsibility.

We work with the County, local events, and businesses to reduce the waste headed to landfills by promoting recycling and reuse.

Pickens County is beautiful, and KPB is doing what we can to help keep it that way! Join us for some of our ongoing projects!

Whether it’s participating in a parade, offering kid-crafts at community events, or helping with festival recycling, we’re here to help!

Edible Pickens is part of our Beautification and Education initiatives. Check out the gardens throughout the community – Come lend a hand!

Rather than complaining about the roadside trash problem, they’re helping to address the situation.

We're looking for KPB's History

KPB is one of the oldest organizations in Pickens County with hundreds (or thousands?) of community members who have been involved throughout the years.

KPB, originally Citizens for a Clean Community, has been serving Pickens County for more than 35 years! While we do have archives we’re continuing to search, we know there’s more ‘out there’ that should be included.

If you have photos, stories, or other details that can help us in our journey through time, please SHARE with us!

We support lots of exciting projects and programs throughout our community, but we need your help so we can do more!

We are looking for volunteers, corporate partners, Board of Directors members, and community members to get involved and help us grow.

It is because of people like you that we have been able to accomplish so much throughout the years, but there is so much more that we can do if we work together!

Come help us to make an even bigger difference in our community!
